A very warm welcome to the website of the Wellingborough and District Talking Newspaper for the Blind, a registered charity run entirely by volunteers to provide a free weekly service of local news and magazine information for the blind and partially sighted living in Wellingborough, Rushden and the surrounding towns and villages.
The Group behind the WDTN is made up of the Committee plus four teams consisting of a news compiler, the readers and an engineer. Each team records on a 4 weekly rota basis. In addition there are two magazine teams, as well as technical staff who handle the multi copying and distribution of the USB memory sticks.
We are always looking both for volunteers to help us to continue to operate and for potential new service users.
We hope you find our website informative.
